Taggers Leave Mark On Lake Highlands Church, Homes

DALLAS -- Members of the Lake Highlands Baptist Church spent Saturday looking pass their frustrations as they worked to clean up graffiti a group of taggers left on a school bus, a 24-passenger van and two buildings.

Police tell church officials they believe the vandalism is the work of an inexperienced "tagger."

Several homes in the neighborhood also were targets.

Church workers say the hardest hit was the outreach program, which serves as a summer drop in for neighborhod children and teens.

One volunteer said the youth take pride and ownership of the facility and will be devastated when they see the vandalism on Monday.
